For 25 years, Alnavit, part of the Alnatura family, has been creating organic foods for people with unique dietary needs. From gluten-free farmhouse bread baking mix and sugar-free cocoa hemp cookies to lactose-free full cream long life milk, 100% buckwheat spaghetti, and pure sour cherry juice – Alnavit offers a wide variety of products to suit you and your lifestyle.

Why organic?

Organic quality has been our core value since day one as part of the Alnatura family – it’s non-negotiable. We frequently go beyond legal standards for organic products. For example, we choose not to use natural flavourings – even though they are permitted under EC Organic Regulation. Our guiding principle “Sensible for people and the planet” shapes every product we develop – just as it does at Alnatura.

What does organic mean for the environment?

Organic farming prioritises environmental protection and resource conservation, thereby ensuring clean water, healthy soil, and nutritious food for both current and future generations.

What does organic mean to you?

More transparency and high-quality food. Whilst conventional foods can contain up to 320 additives according to legislation, organic products are limited to fewer than 60. Even so, Alnavit takes it a step further by avoiding additives whenever possible. Strict limits on pesticide use in organic farming mean better product quality. Only a few low-risk substances are permitted – and even these are used sparingly.

Alnavit was founded in 2000 by Alnatura founder Götz E. Rehn. We are an independent company, but very closely linked to Alnatura. Not only are we lucky enough to be based in the Alnatura working environment in Darmstadt, but we also work closely together and thus benefit from over 30 years of experience around the development of sustainable organic products with the highest quality standards. For example, we regularly exchange information with the Alnatura quality management and the sustainability department, are connected to IT, use the logistics via the distribution centre in Lorsch and enjoy lunch in the vegetarian restaurant tibits. We are very grateful for being part of the Alnatura family.
